“World in Your Hand” (Acoustic)

(Scroll down for lyrics…)
This is an acoustic version of my song coming out Spring 2018. Thanks to The Burlington Writers Workshop for the opportunity to debut it at the March 12 Open Mic night!

(Ready to hear the studio version? Here you go…)

World in Your Hand

(Oooooh)
Right about now
Upwardly broken
Loping in the sunshine (Mmm-hmm)
And it’s been a long time (Oo-oo-ooh)
Since I hit that bullseye

(Woo-oo-woo-oo-ooh)
Light as a cloud
Every motion
Floating through forever (Mmm-hmm)
I kept my act together (Oo-oo-ooh)
Through all the heavy weather

      Take what you need, Honey
      Although they won’t understand
      Take it from me, Honey
You’ve got the world in your hand

(Oooooh)
Crying out loud
Magical moonrise
Soothe my agitation (Mmm-hmm)
I’m sideways on vacation (Oo-oo-ooh)
Outrunning expectations

(Woo-oo-woo-oo-ooh)
Sly on the sound
System eternal
Yearning for some freedom (Mmm-hmm)
Broke out of that museum (Oo-oo-ooh)
And when I get to see him

      Take what you need, Honey
      Although they won’t understand
      Take it from me, Honey
You’ve got the world in your hand
